Default back in the car

got to drive the mustang for the 1st time in over 3 weeks. had my hip replaced march 5th. wasn't able to drive untill i could put full weight on my leg. dr said i could start trying yesterday, so today i went and picked up the kids from the sitter. i left a hour early(for 10min ride) i made it on time but it was close. it was great music loud, passing cars. i used to park my "good car" all winter never bothered me but being told i couldn't drive it made it alot harder. while that it just wanted to say the mustang put a smile on my face again.

I know lots of people here have the modding bug, but a hip mod? What is the expected horsepower gain? Do you have to get a re-tune now or can you stay with your factory tune?

Best of luck with your new part!

If you have an automatic I am sure that makes it a little easier on you. Glad you are back in the saddle again.

I know how you feel, I had my 4th surgery last September to fix a broken leg I did skiing in November 2005. I had to hand the keys from the Mustang over to my son, while I drove his automatic Grand Am. Life isnt fair. Finally got the all OK from the Doctor recently to start using my bad leg for shifting again. My son hates it.
