Anyone know when their short-throw shifter is coming out for the 07 v-8?

 

I'm not sure exactly which one you're waiting for because the 05-06 ones should fit as far as I know. You may have to look for one on ebay or one of the mustang parts stores online as Hurst was bought by B&M and nobody is 100% certain "Hurst" will show up on the shifters of the future. see thread at https://mustangforums.com/m_2952615/tm.htm

The Hurst shifter is the same for 05-07. I've had the Hurst shifter in my '07 for four months and 5500 miles. Absolutely love it.

 

I purchased a new GT and the service manager gave me an IOU for the shifter. He said that there was a very good chance that the HURST shifter will continue to be produced due to the contract between Ford and Hurst to provide the shifter for 10 years due to the installation into the Shelby Lite cars. I'm not sure if this is so. Does B&M have to honor contractual agreements? I personally think B&M would be morons not to cash in on the Hurst name. That is money in the bank as long as us old guys keep driving before moving into the retirement community and getting our licenses revoked. "If you want my keys, you'll have to pry them from me dead arthritic hands"...
