Hey Everyone.
Hey everyone,
My name's Kevin, and I'm an Alch.. Oh krap.. Wrong forum. [8D]
Anyway...
Glad to meet you all. I'm a 21 year old guy from upstate NY and I'm finally buying my dream car within the next few weeks. I'm in the process of pricing up and deciding on options for my new summer ride. I'll garage it in the winter and drive my current vehicle (96' Chevy Blazer) during NY's wonderful *rolls
eyes* winters.
Anyway, I'm a little stuck right now because I have always and still do really want a convertable since it will only be my summer vehicle. Unfortunately, the Convert with the options I want is about 4 grand more than a hard top with the exact configuration. That kinda boggles my mind but I think I can live without my leather embossed black leather with the red insert seats and the interior upgrade package to get what I really want. Then agian, I may never have a chance agian to get exactly what I want, I don't want to regret it.
I'm looking to get the GT Deluxe convertable package, Leather seats as stated aboveif possible, side airbags, the interior upgrade, the kit that gives it the mean looking hood scoop, pony emblem, and crome tips(which honestly do nothing for me), and that's about it. Standard of course with the 4.3L V8 and Dark redfire with ablack top.
It's not going to be to crazy but it's going to turn heads and be perfect for me. I've spent the last three days in an excited Haze because I can't wait until I make an official decision and give the ok to order it. I wanted to join the forum and talk to some people who know what's going on before I make things completely official.
I'm looking foreward to meeting and talking with other Mustang fanatics.
Have a good one guys,
I'll be back on later. (from work, rock on!
)

I'm in the Utica'ish Area. Are you somewhere around here as well?
I'm going to test drive a vert tomorrow. The only GT on the lot was a hard top, stick and I tested that out. I stalled it twice (yes, i'll admit it, I've only driven stick maybe 10 times) but was ok after that. Once i get the feel for the vert I'm going to make my decision on weather it's going to be the vert or hard top.
Can't wait to make my decision. Hopefully I can have it in my May.

Sweet Ride Skilz. I checked out your website and you car looks great. I love the paintedcalipers and your systemmmust be kicking as well. I need to figure out How I cantransfer my system I now have in my truck into my stang, It's going to be a pain, I might just buy a new system for it. The first thing I was thinking of doing to my car was tinting the windows and then adding the Lambo doors like you said at the bottom of your page. I think that would look increadible.

Hey, welcome to the forums. Sounds like a nice car you are lookin at. Id definately say get the vert and scratch the leather because you can always do new seat covers later on, (for cheaper than you getthr upgradedseatsfrom Ford), but you cant swap out the roof.
When youre test driving disregard the horrible throttle lag because it can be virtually dissipated with a tune.
Not sure how likely you are to mod the car once you get it, but if you hang around here long enough then youll catch the bug. If you already know youre going to mod,Id suggest you dont get all the "frills" packages from Ford, like the hood scoop, exhaust tips, gears, etc because youll probably end up replacing everything anyways, so why spendmore money up front, just save it for aftermarket. The aftermarket stuff looks better (IMO) and, is for the most part, alot cheaper than Fords stuff.
Have fun and good luck gettin your car, youll love it!
