Default dealership/u wont believe this

Ok,

So the other day I noticed the floor mat plastic "anchor" on the drivers side is not only not working, it has ripped the carpet around it. I call Pioneer Ford in Goodyear, AZ and they tell me to bring it in so they can take a look at it.

Today, I take the car in and right away its the "managers not here so, your going to have to come back" routine. But they want to take a look at in anyway.

The idiot working service immedately starts with the "I dont knows". Saying that maybe it wont be covered. A second dolt comes over and notices that I have after market floor mats, BTW embroidered with the pony tribar. So, now they tell me that it will certainly not be covered becaused I was using an AFTERMARKET floor mat !!!!!

So, if i blow an engine I guess they will say I was not using the right oil, or if the windshield washer pump goes out its because I was using the wrong washer fluid !!

This is complete and total Bull S#it !!!!!!!!

I got so mad I didn't even tell them that I had just put in those mats and thats why I noticed the rip. I simply left wondering how these idiots stay in business.

Well of course they wont cover an aftermarket floor mat.

Why would you expect them to cover it.. :\

Man, I would take that issue as high up as I had to just to get them to pay for it. That is a dealership that has no idea what customer service is. Make them pay.[:@]

Yes...Your floor mat ripped right? And you bought it from somewhere else (not from ford), right? Why is it there problem it ripped? It's not their fault some company makes ****ty quality mats...

I wouldn't cover it either.

Hey Arwing, I think he is talking about the floor carpet around that mat hook is ripped - not his floor mat.

no, if you read its the floor around the plastic hook that is ripped not the aftermarket mat.

Well, I know for a fact that those aftermarket floor mats cause rips....your not the first person to make such a claim.... I know exactly what ya did, you took out the original OEM mats, and replaced those mats with the new 'fancy' aftermarket mats and in doing so YOU ripped the carpet....

....and don't even think about driving the vehicle on any NON-OEM roads....

Ya know, certian people get off on what little power they think they have....these people love to say NO and make excuses.... and make you suffer... Personally I do not put up with this kinda thing anymore, maybe I'm getting old (34) and have lost paitents, or I've just seen enough of this kinda thing, but I would get his name, and take it to the owner of the dealership...if he doesn't resolve it, take it to Fords Corporate Office.... Once you get someones name and position, often times they change their tune cause they know they will be held personally accountable for... (sometimes not, depends on if their boss gives a s***)

Sometimes ya gotta make some waves, not only for yourself but for all the other consumers....

I mean ya pay 30K and thats the kinda treatment ya get... .no friggin way.

I believe he's taking about the plastic piece in the carpet that holds the drivers side floor mat in place. From an earlier post he mentioned that the carpet was ripped where the plastic anchor is. If this is the fact then yes it should be covered, only thing I would have done differently is I would have re-installed the original floor mats just to avoid this kinda lame dealer excuse.
