Burnout with the Traction control on.
I have experienced the same. It is hard with the auto to break them loose on pavement. I do not have any tune just a stock 2006 GT Premium. Maybe I am not doing it correctly! I guess I will keep trying till I get it right!

Haha funny story... all my buddies were telling me to do a burnout now that i had my headers on... so i sit there nad get ready to do one, dump the clutch floor it and move my foot to the brake but i forgot TCS was on so my car just chirped a little and bogged... so embarassing lol
it's almost as bad as speeding off from a gathering,
only to miss a gear and wind out the biatch lol

How many of you tried doing your first burn out with the traction control on.
That’s embarrassing.

Yep,First time I tried it was on (didn't know it)and was disapointed. But when I turned it off.....whole diffrent story!! Ford should've made it so you HAD to turn it on,then alot of first try's would've been better lol !
Got me too a couple of times in the beginning. But I had the car choke on me a couple of times even with it off. My friend has xperiencd the same in his 2006 also. Has anyone else?
Well, look at it this way- the car hooks up great with auto! Burning rubber is really not going to get you to win any races! I guess it makes the oil jockeys happy, though!
My auto GT needs to get the revs up in order to do any kind of burnout. But what's funny is that one time, with the TCS on, I made a left turn from a stop and the rear end got so loose I almost crashed! Went way out to the right, I was all elbows and *** trying to spin the streering wheel to the right. It then swung up to the left and I finally let off the gas, staightened out and pulled over to get some oxygen!

[sm=bustedsign.gif]Yes the first time that I tried to dosomeburnuouts I had left the TC on. [sm=oopssign.gif]I waited until I had 1000 miles on her until I startedthe abuse. And yes those first 3 or 4 attempts ata burnout was with the TC on. fd
My first one was with it off, but i forgot to turn it off the other day and did one. The marks it left looked like i was going through the gears. Guess my traction control dont work that well. :P
