Eibach Sportlines Install?!
How hard is it to install those springs on our cars? I was asking a local shop and they were asking about $300 for the intsall. Is this something I could do in my garage with a couple of friends or do I need to get any sort of "special tools" that i can't afford and thus must take it to the shop?
If it can be done do you know of anywhere I could find some sort of instructions as of how to do it?
Thanks

The only part that would show difficulty is seperating the spring and strut. Taking the front assembly out is cake. It might be cheaper to just bring the strut assembly over to a shop and have them swap the springs only if possible for you.

The rears are extremely easy......but if you've never replaced a spring on a MacPherson strut before, then maybe this isn't the best time to learn.

it can be very dangerous but if you use common sense and take your time, it will be a breeze... before i bought this car i knew NOTHING... and i didnt feel like messing it up, so i bought a 91 nissan 240sx.. and ive fully built the suspension, swapped the motor, done full bolt ons and alot of fabrication, alls i can say is i learned a whole lot.
basically, i think everyone should try themselves a project car... you will learn alot, and now working on a brand new 05 mustang gt is a breeze, as nothing is corroded or rusted..
i used a spring compressor on my fronts though, took me about an hour to do because im a slow worker lol
Awesome guys thanks for your input. I just talked to one of my buddies aka "Dank" and he did his 04 GT suspension a couple of weeks ago and he'll help me work on it this weekend. I just talked to him about the springs compressor and I can rent one from the Local Autozone for really cheap. I'm going to save about $300 bucks and do it myself. I know I promised pics of the stripes from last weekend but I haven't had a chance to take any pics yet. When I finish the Springs I'll post some up.
Thanks a bunch!

Just a word of caution.... When your taking the springs off of the struts, be VERY careful. If the spring compressor comes loose and that spring takes off, it WILL kill you if it hits you. I've seen first hand what happens when one lets loose and thankfully no one was hurt, but I did end up replacing a garage door, a fender and a hood because of it.
