I need help preventing this...
I was just looking into the Pypes Off-Road H-Pipe and it says that removing the catalytic converters may cause the check engine light to come on. So what do you need to do, or buy to prevent that from happening. My car is completely stock right now, and I was looking into getting a new exhaust first. Do I need to get a CAI+tuner first?I'm new to this, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Take your chances first. Plenty of people have added O/R H/X-pipes and not had any CEL issues. If you are one of the unlucky ones, you have3 options:
1) don't do anything.....the O/R pipe is not hurting your car.
2) get MIL eliminators from one of many venders selling them. (approx $60)
3) get a tuner with a tune that turns the rear O2's off.

I installed the off road h-pipe in my car and the CEL did not come on and I drove it like that for about 50 miles. I had brenspeed tune my car and shut off the rear o2 sensors just in case, but i dont think that was necesary on my car.
