Anyone have the carbon fiber dash option? If so, did you request it or did it just come ith the car you got?

Interested in peoples opinion on it too - like or dislike?

It just came with my car - I didn't even notice it until I got it home...

You can order the car with the satin chrome or carbon fiber look. It is a no cost option. By the way it is not real carbon fiber but aluminim made to look like carbon fiber. I have it in a 2007 GT Satin Silver with light graphite interior and I love the look.

 

My car came with the dark "carbon fiber" aka charcoal trim. I like the contrast since it has the parchment (tan) color interior.

It's really hard to get a good shot because of the flash from the camera. I have a shot or two here at work but the flash makes it appear lighter than it actually is.

It really looks good withthe Black GT's. For me, the Satin look was a little bright for my taste, and the dark charcoal with the dark carbon and black exterior make the car look pretty dang sinister.

I'll try to get some shots up tonight if you folks want to see them.

 

I first ordered my 06 GT vert with the satin aluminum dash. While I was meandering through the showroom and the lot I noticed a white GT that had the charcoal interior. I instantly fell for the dark charcoal int with the carbon fiber dash look. It makes the ac vent trim rings stand out. I went back inside the dealership and changed the order to carbon fiber. Glad I did.

 

I have it, like it, and ordered it with the car. Now I have seen cars on the lot with it, but not when I bought mine.

 

That is what I have and I love it with the exception that I constantly have to dust it.

 

I have a white '06 GT with the CF dash. It came that way off the dealers lot. Charcoal interior with the CF trim makes a nice contrast. I also added several pieces of the satin silver dash trim kit to provide even greater contrast and to cover up the cheap black plastic on the dash and console.
