Default x to h??

I have a bassani x pipe with hi flow cats but hate the sound of the x pipe and was wondering if I could just get the h part of the exhaust and replace the x? Will sound less raspy with an h?

Yeah, the x-pipes tend to sound a lot more raspy than the h. The H will give you that deep muscle car sound. I'm not sure what the bassani x-pipe looks like (i've seen several different style x-pipes) but an exhaust shop may be able to fabricate you an h to fit once the x is cut out. Otherwise, why not just put the stock h-pipe back in?
High flow cats are probably only worth 1-2 hp over stock if that.

I wanted the hi flow cats so my exhaust would be louder, at first I just bought the pypes axle back and it was too quiet and even with x pipe and hi flows its still not loud enough at idle.

Solution: Pypes off-road h-pipe. I love mine.

I found a universal h style balance tube kit at summit for $31 that should work because I spent way too much money on the bassani to change it out.

So what is supposed to be higher flowing and offer better performance? X OR H?

I was looking on FRPP and it said that the X was more efficient... Whats the deal.. Thanks.........

my guess....the x-pipe would have to flow better than the h-pipe would, but the h-pipe would probably be a bit louder. With the x-pipe, the flow would be continuous, with only a few smooth bends in the flow, but the h-pipe would introduce a 90 degree opening that would be more difficult for the flow of air to make.
