Alright, this may go down as one of the bone head threads in the history of the internet...


Anyway, I got the billet *****.... and is it me or are those OEM ***** freakin welded in??? It's an '07 BTW, dunno if they could have changed anything, but I'm pulling straight off and it feels like the whole damm console is gunna come off.. I'm a big guy and I'm afraid if I pull any harder something is gunna break...

Am I missing something? or do I just pull em off?? Anyone do this on an 07? or are they on there that tight???

 

I have an '05 and mine just pull right off...not a lot of force required. Maybe it's different for the '07s?

 

Sorry Perdi......Ford changed the HVAC panel on the 07' model. You cannot pull the ***** off to replace them with billet ones. [:@]

LOL, good thing I waited, i was gunna go out and give her the old heave-ho.. I thought something had to be different....so what yer saying is that on the 07's we're SOL?

 

Yup, pretty much. That's why the A/C ***** usually say 05-06 only. Here's an older thread on it that I have bookmarked.

i've been hoping someone created a work-around for the 07 *****... mabe some chrome piece that fits over top of the factory *****, but i haven't seen anything like that...
