Superchargers + Automatic?
Hello everyone,
I am really new to the Mustang crowd... just got an '06 GT Convertible in February. Just wondering which superchargers would be compatible with an automatic transmission.
Thanks

okay...so i know this has probably been answered before...but do you need a stall converter or anything else when buying a s/c
im thinking of buying a kb s/c in about a year and a half and wanted to know of anything else i would need, besides a better fuel pump and all the stuff that comes with a kb

From what has been observed by others (not me personally), an aftermarket torque converter (TCI, PI, Level 10) will go a long way in keeping the auto tranny healthy when boost is added. Keep the rwhp below 450 with a safe tune to avoid blowing the engine or tranny.
A Performance Automatics deep transmission pan will also go a long way in keeping the tranny happy.
To compliment the SC, you'll want some drag radials (if you're going to go to the track), 3.73 gears, and suspension.
I'd actually do the suspension first. Get some adjustable shocks/struts, adjustable LCAs with relocation brackets, adjustable UCA, and since it's a vert, i'd look into subframe connectors and other chassis stiffening.
