Default Painted Headlights?

How hard would it be to pait the inside of the headlights similar to the CDC car above. I have a white stang and I think it would look so much better... What do you think would be involved? The FOOSE stang has something similar to this also....

To get the lens off most headlight assemblys you need to put the assembly in an oven and bake it.

It melts the plastic/sealant off, then you have acess to the interior of the headlight.

I did it with my audi TT, and I learned a heat gun works MUCH better than an oven..

but then again, I was working with $1200 headlights with factory xenons, fogs, and turn signals built in.

GOD, that car was hotness...

I have a set that I bought off Ebay awhile back. I want to sell them and would make you a good deal. Originally they cost me $350 for the pair. I'll let them go for $200 shipping included. One thing however. One of the mounting tabs has broken but will mount still. With just the two tabs, it mounts firmly and you won't even know it wasn't there. I dropped one and the tab broke off. In as far as whether or not they are properly sealed, I can't say. They were on the car for about 2 months and never had any issues. I even wash my car at the local high pressure wash and they didn't leak or fog up.

Final comment, I will be going 'back to black' shortly. I think they look the best IMO.

I have 2 brand new sets of headlight buckets if anyone is interested in working on theirs. It would come in really handy to have a set to work on for a few reasons.
1) If you damage one bucket, you wont have to run around looking for one and paying high dealer prices. ((approx. $175 each)
2) You can make the lights ready off the car and when you are happy with them, then you can install them, since your whole front end (bumper) needs to be removed to access your light buckets (bolts)

We took them off because we needed new buckets to work with the GT500 bumper.
