aligning the tips is easier with two people, losen the tips and have someone hold them how you want them to look, then just tighten them back up....this is atleast what I did and it worked

Aligning tips was fast and took about 5 minutes each for me... The fact that the LMs come in 4 pieces total made it easy.

If its so difficult for you I wonder if the hangers are just plain bent.

No! Don't throw them away! Today I saw someone on another forum that wanted to buy a pair. They said they would pay $120 and shipping.

Keep those babies. I agree with Howarmat. If you decide to go with an off-road H-pipe or X-pipe those loudmouths will offer zero noise reduction, as most of the GT's quiet tone is due to the Cat convertors. Without them your noise levels will probably raise well above any legal level anywhere. I put my stockers back on as my aftermarket mufflers were way too loud. Even with stock muffs and an off-road x-pipe my cars is pretty loud.

Don't bother with a torch and hangers. Just finger-tighten both clamps on each axleback and set the tips where you want them by stuffing a small towel around the gap between the bumper and exhaust tips. Then slowly and evenly tighten both clamps on each side.
