I went to my local bodyshop and to do the following things, they gave my a quote of "atleast $1,500".

1). Painting and installing a Saleen grill/bumper and the lights to replace my pony package ones.
2). Paint the side mirrors the same as the body
3). Remove the antenna's for the satelliate radio and the FM/AM radio, grind it over and paint it over.

Does $1,500 seem like a bit much to you?

 

seems a bit right to me. high class paint jobscan get expensive. at the very least i say $1000

Shop around.. May be good in some areas, and expensive in others. I know I could get it cheaper around here..

That sound about right, the biggest expense there is the antenna removal. In order to get a perfect color match on the trunk a portion of both quater panels will need to be painted, along with the rear bumper.

Whatever it takes, do it right - even if it means that you have to put everything on hold until you can secure more funds

I see way too many folks cutting corners and "spray painted" or "zip tying" things to their cars... show some pride in your car..
