Good post, I have the same problem here in SLC. No 93 octane gas available. I checked with the local spped shop, the only thing they had was 100+ boost.

Why do you need 93.....you can use 91 for whatever you need.?

I need 93 octane because my car is tuned for 93 NOT 91
I just purhcased some 104 + extreme octane boost so ill see how that goes
based on my resent research should get me some where around 92.8

You are going to jack up your car using that crap.

If you need to use some sort of octaine booster, use Torco or nothing. Do a search on just about any board and you will see that octaine booster will mess up the plugs in these cars. Torco is the only thing I would recommend, period.

Have the tuner mail you a 91 octane tune. You can get one from most of the tuners out there. That's a hell of a lot safer than adding that crap to your gas.

so what i'm reading here is not to use octane in a bottle regardless of what level octane you need? because i was thinking about doing the same thing.

What hand held tuner do you have?
I would just pull timing from the 93 octane tune myself. In the Predator, pulling 2* of global timing will take your 93 down to 91. Where it says install or modify tune, select modify. Go to global spark, and subtract two. Push escape until you are back to the install/modify screen, and select install tune. It will install the modified tune.
