You have a stock 08 gt and $8,000 to spend on mods. You want to spend at least half on performance parts, and you want to have at least 400hp when you are done. What all do you do?

 

You won't get 400 HP on half of 8k. 8k will get you a S/C and maybe 1 other mod, if you get a good deal on the S/C and install. Mine was right at 7k for the s/c and install.

 

supercharge it...or a few bolt ons and nitrous...or im assuming you dont have this "08 GT" just yet, why dont you put that extra 8,000 towards a GT500, you will have a nicer car and 100 hp to spare!

 

Yeah that is why i said AT LEAST half on performance. I'm going to put all the install cost of all the Mod on the price of the car. I should have mentioned that hehe whoops. I was looking at the Rouch stage3 s/c for 5,600.
What could be done to get to 400hp without a s/c?

I had a 500 ordered, then I gave it up because I would never drive it out of fear some one might breathe on it. So i decided on a GT instead.

 

ok supercharger is done! now you have 3000 left. What do you do?

They haven't even started production on 08's yet so I assume your just thinking/researching right now. For one thing you'll buy a new car and blow the warrenty the first month. Why don't you put that extra money up on a Saleen or Roush already made and under warrenty. Maybe you like to do things yourself but there'd be plenty to tinker with on looks etc even on the Saleen/Roush when you get it.

 

good idea
