Default Warning chime - Instrument Cluster Upgrade

I have just upgraded from the 4 guage instrument cluster to the 6 guage instrument cluster with the information center and My Lights.(Great upgrade and got it from Ed as posted on this forum) The only issue that I now have is whenever the car is in reverse, a warning chimesounds. For any of you that have gone through this upgrade, is this normal? Does anyone know how to disable this annoying chime?

Its not normal per say but when you take it to the dealer to reflash the cluster it will go away.

I did thesame exact thing about two weeks ago, not only will you not like the reverse chime, you will absolutely hate the warning chime that comes on a 75 mph. I do not know why they put both those awful chimes in. The only way that you can get rid of these anoying chimes is by taking your Stang to the dealer and have them reflash the computer, 1/2 hour shop time, about $55.00 cost. Bought mine from Ed, also, easy to install, love the color and extra guages. I plan on putting mine in the shop next week, need to put the original programming in because I bought a tunner from Brenspeed, don't want a hastle from the dealer.

the cluster reflash doesnt have anything to do with our performance tune flash does it ?
do we need to go to stock for the cluster reflash?

I would just in case.....as stated many times, if the dealer updates you car and you have your tune installed you could beceme locked out.

damn mvarshochi,
that ride looks hot. do you have any more photos from different angles?
I got the cervini front bumper and am considering getting some other parts from the eleanor kit.
did you get just the ducktail for the back? have any photos of that?
the hood looks awesome but i still think I'm gonna go with the cali dream instead.

Just came back from the local Ford dealer and after re-flashing the cluster it works perfectly.
They just charged $30 for the reflashing, not as much as I expected. If anyone is looking to do this upgrade, I recommendcall Ed Olson. He is now at Parr Ford in Bremerton, Wa. His phone number is 360-479-1353. He can guide you through the process and set you up with the needed parts. Total cost of the upgrade was$332 (this includes the re-flash) plus a $300 core deposit that is returned when you send your old cluster back.
