Scoops & Stripes
No they aren't the Saleen stripes. There fader stripes sold by Graphic-Express. Actualy a little of a few brands on it. All of it is 3M Vinyl. And I did it all myself. Alot of people checking it out at a carshow & cruise night recently and the best comment was this guy asked me a couple times if it was a factory option package. Anyways it's alot of fun and I don't think I'm done yet.
That is what i thought when I saw the pic............it looks original which is good. Alot of Mustangs on the road & now yours looks custom.
I want to put something like the side stripe on, I just dont know if I could without screwing it up??

The tech guys at the different graphic places are willing to help alot. I 'll be too. Like side side stripes. Do a lot of measuring. Not the edge of the paper the graphics are on but to the actual graphic stripe or letters. (sometimes the paper isn't cut the same on each piece) Then you'd tape the top edge into position in a few spots. Masking tape. Peal the backing paper off and spray alot of the solution on. And I mean alot. Do it out of the sun on a 70 degree day would be perfect. When you'd start to lay the graphic down do another measuring to be sure (tweak a little if you have to) and start in the center and (now this is important) work the bubbles/water out from the actual center of the stripe to the outer edges. Not just one sideto the other. Then just work your way to each side, length wise. Use medium pressure, meaning about the pressure you comb your hair with. Follow the directions the paperwork and tech guy tells you and you'll be all set. Main thing it to measure good and have exactly were you want it before you start with the sqeege.
I really like it. I especially like the side pin stripe from front to back. First time I have seen that on one of the new mustangs - always wondered how it would look. Where did you get the side pin stripes? Looks very original but not over the top in my opinion. Great job.
Those were Prostripe brand pinstripes. You can get them in quality paint supply/auto stores. They come in either the 2 stripes the same color or you can get multi-color. I'm an old guy so I was wanted to do the "retro" look. But really stand out too. I've never been one to have stock looking cars.
