Yeah thats RPM outlet for ya, LOL! There not very trustworthy B&M has asked them to take it off there website but they still havent. Theres been a delay since B&M and Hurst are merging one of them bought the other out.

The stock pony shifter looks similar to the one I had in my 70 Cougar.

Just the Cougar's was made of STEEL and was a lot more solid feeling.

Also had to push the button to downshift from D to 2, and again from 2 to 1.

The new one just needs it to go from D to 3, you can drop in 2, or all the way to 1 without the button after that.

Also, when parking, you can shift accidently from 1st all the way to R without the reverse lockout working on the new auto when you are trying to hit N.

Very sloppy shifter.

When new, the tranny would downshift to 3rd if you leaned on the shifter in D.

Not good.

44,000 miles of manual shifting have eliminated the problem.

Shifts fine now.

They need to make one that has 1-2-3-4-5 on the pattern.

How about a gated shift pattern?

This is the 21st century. They need to do better

That shifter is on the B&M site though.

Does anyone know if it incorcorates the O/D switch?

Its not so great looking, thats for sure. I was hoping they would come up with something like the Star Shifter...something that ratchets and something cooler looking. It might improve with a different ****, but the stick itself is like a pencil.

I think the one that's coming out looks like aarcade game joy stick....bummer.
