So the auto locks only work on autos, and not manual transmissions. This sucks. Maybe the Dealer has a fix for this problem.

 

since we are talking about stupid things about these cars let's complain that we have no remote trunk release. has anyone figured out how to add a trunk release?

 

someone on this forum lengthened the interior trunk release cable (the one for if someone get trapped in there) and somehow connecting it to a button they added in the glove box. though this might be illegal somehow, try searching it in the forum search, im too lazy to post the link

 

someone might be able to do a Macgyver and
wire up a switch running to the smart junction box.
i havn't researched this at all, but if there is a trunk
release signal line, it might be plausible

 

An aftermarket alarm will lock the doors on a manual tranny car. I have a clifford G5 alarm and it has this feature.
