Default Speakers

I have an 07 Mustang and I want to upgrade the speakers. I am running a Pioneer AVIC-Z1 Nav system so what's the best type of speakers to get for that? I want to upgrade the speakers only, no need for a sub or amp since Im happy with the loudness of the speakers already. I just want everything to be nice and clear.

What do you guys recommend? Since Im a noob and all haha. How many speakers do the 07's have, that came with a Shaker 500?

I have a Z1 as well and am happy with the stock shaker 500 speakers. Did you get the adaptor so you can still use the factory amps for the subs in the doors? Shaker 500 has 8 speakers.....

Was your nav system professoionally installed? Do the small 8inch subs in the doors have sound coming out of them when the system is on? Do you hear a thump when you turn your system on?

To replace the main part of the speaker system you will need 4 6x8 speakers, (2 pairs). I recomend Infin or similar.

I used Pioneer in the rear and Infinity in the front. The Infinities in the front add a nice balance and contrast of bass and crisp treble in the front.

Sounds like they did it right, with the front subs playing and no thump on start up.

I tried to attach the door assemby PDF. and I can't get r done. There are copies of it on the web, probably this site, and definatly at www.allfordmustangs.com. You could get this pdf, and some speakers at www.hookedontronics.com and save a little jack. Or you could just get some speakers at CC and let them put'm in for ya.

Good Luck.
