the guy down the block from me took one from a mercury grandmarquis and has it in his mustang so i know its possible

I would imagine if it were an option it would be part of the IUP. Mine's an 06', i'm not sure about the 07's

 

You can get them from a dealer or even off ebay.....Gentex makes most of them.

Reminds of what I told someone not long after I got the car when asked what kind of 'creature comforts' it comes with -

My compass - I look up and see where the sun is in the sky.
My thermometer - Istick myarm out the window.
My navigation system - The map in my glove box or the person at the counter at the next convenience store.
My surround sound audio system - I downshift and punch it.

 

I got a Donnelly Autodim/compass/temp-sensor one off of ebay for like 100 bucks...I love it.

my 07 gt came with a compass mirror as an option, and there's a good chance that it also has a temperature thing that i just never use...
