Default Roll Bar Help

I've had several people tell me that i should look into a roll bar now thay i have a TT setup on a Vert. I was wondering what you guys thought about it. I think the final dyno numbers will come in around 420 RWHP and 490 RWTQ ( dont quote me on that) I dont think i will be at the track that much to where they would make me put one in. Does anyone have functional roll bars in their cars, if so could you post pics of what they look like. Any info will be appreciated.

Mike

I just ordered one of these. I like it the look and ease of installation. You might want to contact them and ask if they offer one for converts...

Good Luck!

Here's a pic of the one I designed and had a local guy custom make itfor my Vert. The mounting plates are welded in, and we welded in and strengthened CDC's B-pilar light bar brackets. That way I can unbolt and remove it if I ever wanted.

The one shown from Agent47 would be a waste of money as it is not NHRA legal. You need a roll bar for 13.99 or quicker with a vert. That is why people are telling you to get one, it will be very hard to make you car that slow.

Earl, thanks for the info on that, hopefully im getting my car back this week. Ill post the dyno sheet when i get it.

05Cayuse, would you happen to have more photos of your custom roll bar, maybe some detail photos of the mounting plates and where the secondary bars are mountedby the seats.I found one from autopower, but it looks like it goes on the inside where it would take up some room. I like how yours is mounted like the CDC bar just looks a little more finished then the ones they offer.

NHRA lowered the roll barET to 13.49 for verts this year. Its on page 97. With a TT setup the change won't help you.

without the roll bar you'll never be able to run at the track with a tech inspection....
