Like I stated a few days ago I have about $1500 in mods to spend, now if I can extend that out alittle bit to say $2000, would the Comp cams that Brenspeed sells and the c&l intake/tune be a good combo? The cams are like $1000, and the intake/tune is $650, so that would be $1650 plus the install price for cams and I believe the SCT tune can be used for the cams. Is this a good thing to do, or is there another place to buy some better cams for a better price? Also I want somewhat of a lope aswell. I cant believe I just now thought about cams, what an idiot. $1500 and no cams, yeah ok I'm getting some damn cams, LOL.

 

What about intake/tune, and LT headers and an O/R x-pipe.

 

If I dont get the cams, than I'm for sure gonna get some 4.10 gears and an o/r h-pipe. Although the headers sound tempting, I need gears.

 

I'm in the same boat you are, I have $1500 from graduation presents from people and my parents said I could pay for the parts and they'd pay for the labor so I'm looking at cams, springs, retainers, and a CAI. Anybody have anything different they would do?

 

I heard cams are usually about $600, and then the valve springs and retainers are usually like $200-300. They have a kit on Brenspeed for $900 or $1000 and it comes with everything. I'm debating myself on what to get.

 

buy a beater car and run it off a clif. thats worth a couple hundred bucks
