so far i have a bunch of bolt-ons on my car, including headers, so taking it to ford for warranty work is not very easy, i dont mind buying the part that needs to be replaced, i just need to know what it is... im getting codes p0344 & p0340.. what do i need to do, replace the sensors???? please lmk.. any help is greatly appreciated, and will driving like this hurt anything else in the vehicle??? BTW its a 2006 mustang GT...

Actually, you probably should take this DTC problem to the dealer for Warranty repair because it may not be a problem with the camshaft position sensor. There is TSB out for this DTC and it points to the alternator so changing the sensor may not fix the problem. The TSB is 06-2-9 and heres a link to a copy of it.

If you want to try the sensor replacement first, you can order it thru the dealer for about $30. I've read on other forums that after changing the sensor the DTC returned after about an hour. But it may be worth a try if you don't want to use the TSB.
