Default Step 8 "remove door release cable"??

I'm reading a set of intructions and it says to remove the door release cable in the door panel... well this is something similar to having in the intstructions... "Make Flux Capacitor". How do I get the cable to release?

Reach in with a pair of needle nose pliers & squeeze the triangle shaped retaining clip & push it through the hole & swing to the side. I thought I was supposed to pull out the silver cylinder but you release the black plastic thingy & the cylinder slides out easy. That a little less technical for ya.

It's hard to see in there but those intructions would have been really usefull.
