Default Magnapacks

Hi, i'm looking for some input from those of you who havean '05 and up GT with stock manifolds and midpipes and the Magnapack catbacks. How do you like them? Are they too loud?
I was able to listen to a Stang with same set-up except it was the regular Magnaflow catback and it was too quiet for me, not much different from stock set-up. I'm not looking for anything too loud (like the SLP's), but not as quiet as those regular Magnaflows I heard. Thanks.

I have stock manifolds, and mid pipe and magnapack catbacks. I'm really happy with the sound of mine. Start up sounds awesome, idling is louder than stock but not obnoxious. Anywhere on the gas sounds awesome. I've never heard my car from the outside (i.e. someone else driving it), but people constantly tell me that it sounds really good. I would definitely buy them again.

Thanks for the reply.....how is it at cruising speeds in the cabin, say around 70-75 MPH?

You know it is funny that you mentioned drone at 1800-2000 RPMs as I had that last year and it was very bearable though for me. I love the set-up though mine is a tad different from the axelback as mine exits out the side of the car. But the stock headers and the h-pipe are in place and no problems at all this year. I don't know if it is the build up on the magnapacks and the exhaust system itself but I do not have drone at all anymore....seems weird to me and never annoying enough when I had drone anyway to take the magnapacks off. The sound is amazing and at cruising speeds of any type she is rather subdued but at aggressive (spirited) driving the car is definitely louder than stock and won't wake up all the neighbors in the middle of the night if you start the car. At WOT it is even more amazing the sound that they produce and I feel yoou would not be unsatisfied with the setup. I was told by another member that you should leave the CATS on regardless as the sound is much louder and might drone more in the end. JMO J

I have the side exhaust and when i had stock manifolds and h pipe ... i loved the sound very deep and just loud enough. I thought i wanted slps but i love what i got very muscle car sound and roars when you get on it . Perfect exhaust for this car IMO

I was scared at first before I bought mine. Alot of people said they drone alot, but after I installed it I was totally please. It has a very nice deep muscle car sound and I get zero drone at any speed.

Check E-bay for the system. I got the 2.5" catback magnapack system for $470 including shipping drop shipped from magnaflow. It was a very good price for such a great exhaust.

I get compliments everywhere I go on how deep and just not too loud and not too quiet. Cruising speeds there is minimal drone, but I bought the exhaust to hear it so a little drone is ok with me lol. I have no complaints with this exhaust at all and would recommend it to anyone wanting a deep, aggressive, and powerful sounding exhaust.
