Default Looking for a high performance tire

I am looking for a good, high performance street tire for road racing. I have tried slicks, but they are awfully expensive, and their life is not good. AND, they cost over $200 each.

The Falken RT 615 has given good results at a reasonable price.

I don't know, how bout the Toyo RA-1, thespec tire for AI - which you are currently building your car for right? If $200 a tire bothers you I suggest you start putting that interior back in .

Compromise is what it is all about. A 80,000 mile tire has very hard rubber and that means no traction if your spinning it. a racing tire has Various soft rubber compounds and depending on how you drive , will give very short tread life. Nothings free in life, You want traction when going around a hairpin, it's going to cost you.
