I know what you mean about wanting to be safe. I spent $2000 in parts alone, and $900 for the instal and tune alone. Well worth it tho, put down over 445 ft/lbs of tourqe and the nitrous is still running fat at 10.5 a/f. I HIGHLY reccomend getting a wideband gauge in your car, will run about $300 but will let you know if you need to get out of it in case you go lean. I went very safe on the nitrous set up, but worth every penny of it. Just putting a kit on there could be disasterous. Just a bit more tweaking with my jets and i will get every ounce i can, along wtih being very safe about it.

To the original poster...TIRES!!! I put M/T et streets on my stock wheels yesterday and they are AMAZING! Ill test it out at the track tomorow night, but i seriously dont doubt picking up 3-4 tenths on my 1/4 time.

Well, since you got your nitrous stuff on order you might as well order you some more HTO's if your running the 100 shot just in case...LoL. I think you should invest a little more into suspension ie, UCA and Anti-Squat brackets. Also tires!!! get some MT E.T Streets for sure. Another thing you have missing is a 1 piece driveshaft which will really help get some power to the ground and insure less slop in the drivetrain. Just pick from the list bro. The driveshaft will run you right at 500 bucks if you go through with the sypdershaft, look into it.

I gotta question for you. Aren't you nervous at all about running the zex 100 shot on your car? I really want to put a NX kit on mine personally but don't want to until my suspension/tires, injectors, spark plugs, fuel pump, are complete along with getting some gauges, a blowdown kit, bottle pressure gauge, purge kit, bottle heater, tcs window switch, and all the wiring and switches done. I'm just really **** about it and am saving up little by little for it. Of course there are many people out there that are fine with their zex kits, I'm just gonna be REALLY safe about it.

Really, you should think about the driveshaft. I'll be installing mine next week along with the rest of my suspension.

Have fun bro!

heads and cams for these cars are basically worthless right now. That and you will spend over $2500 for about 30 hp. He has nitrous, why would he get a s/c or a turbo? lol...troll?

FU!

No troll. Just saying he wants a car that runs the 1/4 mile... and yes if he is using N20 why not get a better set of flowing heads and some good boost cams?

NOOB?

And if you want to get technical I would ditch the JBAs for a good set of Kooks or SW headers. But gee I am just a troll.

You know I was warned about the "MustangForums" Mr.Flowmaster LOL!

Okay, my turn to chime in...randomly that is.....

Yes, he wants a car that runs the quarter mile...but no need for cams and heads right now bro. These cars have perfectly nice flowing heads and can with stand a 75-100 shot easy. The fact of the matter is fuel issues and getting the power to the ground. Cams and heads aren't as affective on these engines like they are on LS1's and stuff bro, and are actually some of the last mods that should be included in any set up. Plus, when tearing into the heads you might as well replace the rods, pistons, crank, cams, retainers and springs. By then you might as well swap out the block with a proven Tekskid. Of course you could spend a couple grand on some nice high flowing heads through Livernois and get some Comp Cams and be out the door spending atleast 2500 bucks!!! Thats insane money especially considering the main weak spot are the rods, but like I said when tearing into something like that it's way better to finish the suspension, tires, fuel system, exhaust, drivetrain, etc.

IMO, JBA's are one of the cheaper sets of headers out there that still manage to perform perfectly fine. They might not be Kooks or ARH, but they are still perfectly fine. Some people have their prefered brands while others have actually seen the finish and fitment on a lot of the headers out there...

Yup nitrous is a go for sure so why not build around that and get that power to the ground along with taking some safety measures. Of course this is all my opinion and personal suggestions. He already said he's going 100 shot so lets take it one step at a time on building around it as I've said before. Check out my above post, it's honestly the best thing to consider since he's engaging in nitrous.

I hope you enjoy your stay here bro, and lighten up a bit..."FU"....Now I'll return the favor in more of a mature manner...

"You know I was warned about those "smart asses" Mr. Jizz LOL!"

Now I apoligize, I just needed to get that out bro.

Thanks,

- Justin

Justin,

Did you do the spydershaft 1 pc driveshaft? I'm kinda curious to find someone who's done it, and how they like it; it's one mod that I'm looking to do myself, after I get the suspension done on my '07 GT (I prefer to have the handling and stopping up before I get myself any "go fast" goodies on the car; turn & stop BETTER before more power!) so I was wondering how you liked it...

I fully agree with you bro. I'm actually installing my driveshaft next week along with the finishing touches on my CHE suspension, ie. panhard rod, panhard bar brace, anti squats, and ds loop. I already have lca's and uca. There are many and I mean many people out there who have installed the sydershaft their selves. The install should honestly be a piece of cake and take no more than 30 min. If you pm me, I'll give ya some info on the install via email.

The reason I bought nitrous is because right now the S/C for this cars is way to high for my wallet. I can't see myself spending +5000 bucks on a S/C on one purchase, that is way too much for me. And since my car is my DD (drive it only like10 -20 miles a day), I decided to run something for "track only". Something that could be activated only when I need that 100 extra HP, something I will NEVER need in the city.

Although nitrous has been proven to be the best bang for the buck, I am also going safe here, I also ordered the fuel pressure safety switch and currently searching a good WB AFR gauge. I don't need all that fancy stuff like remote bottle opener or bottle warmer (+100 degrees days, everyday).

My initial setup will cost me like 1000 bucks, + 40 for fill up. I will be filling up the bottle like once every 1 or 2 months. So yeah, it's cheaper.

I already bought HT0's, 89.99 for 8 At my local O'reileys. And will be installing them soon (if anyone knows if they need regaping, please tell).

After this, It's only DR's (Nitto 555r's) and Aluminum DS. That will be all for me. I don't like cosmetic mods, well, I don't have ANY cosmetic mods (besides bullittwheels). sleeper FTMFW!

I am soooo happy with my car.

Mxo7gt,

Why the Nitto's? Are they for street/strip purposes? Since you won't be spraying on the street, your stock tires are fine. My friend has a fully bolt on 04 GT and has those dang Nitto 555R's and they don't hook all that well on the track, but are insane street tires!! Check out some MT ET Streets, that will really get that power to the ground! Do a search on the Nitto's bro!

Well what I was thinking is the nitto 555r's also for my dd days. Since I dont drive that much, I should be ok right?

Although I know MT ET tires are superior, they dont hold up very well in the street.

plz comment
