so i think i might have messed up my clutch, gears what ever, so i guess i have some questions.

1.would down shifting now and agian hurt it, as it only has 700 miles on it.

2.this has happened twice were its a lil hard to put it in reverse why, does this happen to anyone else ?

3.sometimes in first gear going real slow like 5 mph or less it feels like it has power surges kinda, what is going on?

4.i am not the best manual driver in the world and somtimes the car will jerk a lil in first not bad though will that cause any of the prolems i meantioned or does this sound normal, i might just be paranoid.

5.this is probably all me but it feels alot slower to me, especially when someone is in the car and they are like show me whats shes got, they think wow its fast but i could swear it was alot faster, so i guess time for mods.

welli think thats all i was worried about, i think i am bien paraniod but i wanna see what you all think, let me know if you think i should take it in to get looked at.

nope, its you.

You cannot strip gears at they are constantly meshed, and the only way you would hurt the collars on the tranny is if you dont clutch completely.

There may be a clunk in some gears, this is the 2 piece driveshaft,,, dont worry, Im 17 and in 2 days I stopped doin it when I learned to use a manual.

Well, make sure you stop before even considering putting it into first.

As for the clutch, I doubt you are that bad to where you will hurt it in the near future.

There are guys who beat the crap out of their stangs racing with blowers and such, and they still have stock clutches.

Stop worrying and just enjoy the stang.
