Default Lets Talk Audio

I'm still deciding on some performance upgrades, but I think I'm going to upgrade the audio this week. Anyone here have a solid but affordable system? I'm thinking 2 10's in the trunk. Replace the speakers(by the way what size are they? 3.5's in the door and 6*9's on the rear deck?) Does the shaker 500 have enough power to run the new speakers? I've got a 500watt amp for the subs, but I don't know how the head unit will perform. i really dont want to change it out, I like the factory look.

The head unit is garbage along with the rest of the stock audio just like every other stock radio. The speaker size is 6x8 in front and rear and a 8" speaker in the doors. If u keep the HU it will never sound great but if you just go with a speaker change and put in the subs and amp u have the shaker will push them enough.

go with 12's for the subs as well i say 12's cause ya have 8's in the doors which is really cool and good for driving mid-bass then ya *** the 12's for the thump.... and I'd recommend dumping all the OEM stuff... those amps are garbage as well as the HU.. It's only gunna sound as good as the weakest link in the signal chain...
