Installing stripes tomorrow any tips?(Pics installed)
Stripe kit arrived today and i am going to install themtomorrow, any tips would be great because i have never done anything like this before. Thanks in advance for any help.
Take your time installing them, and even more careful on the front and rear bumpers, the pieces do not go on nearly as easy as the hood and roof. Also, when installing on the hood, make sure to have the windsheild-washer nozzles aligned correctly over the holes.
It's not rocket science, but having another person helping will be a benefit (in terms of peelingthe stripe off the backing as well asholding teh stripe while you spray down thepart of the caryou're applying it to

You need an alcohol/soap mixture with slightly warm water(at least I used it a little warm) in a 20 oz spray bottle(old Windex bottle works well). Take your time, used plenty of solution and let each stripe dry before removing the paper backing(not to be confused with the wax paper, which comes off first). Letting it dry before applying the following piece is what consumes so much time(I had the car done at a tint shop, but I put on the front bumper stripes afterward because I ruined the first set which prompted me to have a pro do the remainder of the stripes, Rob at BSM was great at getting me a replacement front bumper set ASAP). Good luck, and post after you're finished!
Loosen the hood scoop. There are 4 bolts holding it down under the hood, if it is loose you can slide the stripes under it so much easier. Here are the instructions for the Baltimore Street Mods kit- http://www.baltimorestreetmods.com/i...&chapter=0 They say to use a solution of 20oz water, 1/4 teaspoon of liquid dish soap and 1/2 teaspoon of rubbing alcohol. I don't know what kit you have, but I assume the application would be similar.
I'm not scared lol. I think i can handle it. if i mess up then i will have some one do it.txlonghorn thanks for the instructions they are better than the ones i have. i will post pic's when done.
