Default dash lights

i have a base model 05 v6, the lights on the dash light up white when my headlights are off, once i turn them on the dash switches from white to green, is there a way to make it so that it stays white even when the headlights are on? i dont have the mycolor feature by the way

I think you need the Mycolor to do that. The dash lights come on without the headlights so you can see the gauges better because of how recessed the gauges are.

Your choices are to have it green when you drive with the lights on, or to drive with your lights off. I do not recommend driving in the dark without lights!

You need to take the wire that runs the gages on white, and apply it / jump it to the side of the headlight switch that runs the green. Should be a very easy thing to do.

No its not a very easy thing to do. The cluster communicates via ethernet
and the headlight switch talks to the SJB which in turn talks to the cluster
and the cluster then changes colors. No wires from the headlight switch
to the cluster directly. Remove your cluster and attack the "problem"
at the actual lights. They will have to be changed to the desired color.
A LOT of trouble cause you dont like them green. Shoulda got the
my color optio if it bugs you sooo much. You could hijack the data
on the ethernet between the SJB and clusterand manipulate it at that level. LOL!
Not Laughing Out Loud but Lots Of Luck.
