Default Damage front Windshield!!

I have a damange front windshield..... I have call diffrent companies to replace the entire thing and I keep getting asked if I want the pony logo on it or not.. if I do the total price goes up $200 more just for the pony??? What is so great about it that I'm not getting here.. it is that only OEM wiendshields have the pony and others are aftermarket less espensive with no pony?? Just want to know the story about the forgotten pony on the windshield.

You got it! The generic glass is plain (no horse).
For $200 I could do without it. It was 2 weeks before I realised it was there.

Had mine replaced last September (car was 5 months old!) after a rock cracked it. The factory replacement was 500 bucks and the aftermarket, without the pony, was 200 dollars cheaper. I went with the original. The amount of debris being tossed up by cars and trucks is getting out of hand! [:@] There are numerous "dings" on the replacement already. Grrrrrrrr......

I would have preferred that Ford did not do theponyin the windshield in the first place. This car is a retro design with new technology; this pony is not technology; I would prefer retro windshield (no pony). If it was a simple vinyl applique it would be gone on mine.

Yeah, dammit.. I picked up a rock that chipped mine last week..[:@][:@] Not even 5700 miles on the clock!! Windshield repair at safelite was $60 (covered by insurance co). I'm hesitant to remove the factory glass because nothing ever has the same fit/finish/fitment as what comes from the factory... But the "repair" isn't quite as seamless as they would lead you to believe. My eye still catches on it every time I get in the car, I'll probably end up having it replaced. [:@]

If it were mine, I'd let the insurance company replace the factory original. I like the Pony!
