unless your are an experinced installer, i reccomend you have only a training professional install it, because gears arent something everyone can tackle. i suggest you buy 3.73 or 4.10s

it depends on what kind of driving you do and what mods you are planning on going with. I have 2 06 GTs one with the 331and one with 410s. in the qtr mile the 410s pull harder out of the hole and when you go into 4th at the top end it wont pull near as hard, where as with the 331 you are a little more sluggish getting rolling, but you can run out the back door of the qtr in third pulling a lot harder than you would with 4.10s in fouth, all depends on what you want. If you want to fry the tires get the 410s, my car with 410s and a tune ran a 13.90 qtr mile and my wifes with 331 and a tune only just ran a 13.69 last weekend in hotter temps. Im now running high 12s with my mods but only turning just over 5,000 when I cross the line with 28" tall tires. just right if i run nitrous or supercharger, but I would be quicker If I ran the 3.31 and bumped my rev limiter up a couple hundred rpms

Umm, well I didn't know the difference between the tow thank you, but dose the 3.31 get off the line slower then the stock or it's better either way? and will the 3.31 still pull in 5th around 130mph?

3.31 is the stock gear ratio.

Wanting to pull at 130mph in 5th? Where are you driving?!

you can hit 130 in 4th if you bump up the limiter with 410s. if you want to hit 130 in 5th then go with 4:30s you will be able to pull harder in 4th at the end of the quarter, but it is really too low for supercharging or high dose of nitrous unless you want to twist the motor. if you are going to stay natural aspirated your best qtr performance is actually the stock gears or 4.30s from what ive found on the two automatics that I have.

i was thinking of getting the 3.7s ,i heard you get better off the line then the 4.10s or do i have that backwards?also i'm sure it voids warranty but if i get them installed by the dealership does it void???

I am planning on going FI this fall but I am torn between the 373s and 410s ive heard the 373s are a good step up from the 331 and a perfect gear ratio for our cars but i also want to see the advantages of the 410s. I might take it to the track but its not going to be an every weekend kind of thing i just like getting on and off it on the on ramps and such . So i really dont care how it pulls in 5th because im really never going to get too far above 85 , I know i baby my car too much

I dorve like that on the Hight way, or back roads here in florida. But now I am not really that heavy on the gas as I was. I follow the speed limit now, but I Still would love to have the power to pull in hight speeds.
