Default New Headers and A Sick Car! HELP

[sm=smiley19.gif]

Hello. Just installed a set of JBA headers on my 05 v6 (shorts not longtubes).
..I know they dont do much, but I got them factory sealed at a great price.

Install went fine.
Connected battery cable back and started car. SWEET!
Drove up thelane - needles went nuts and all error lights except the wrench came on.
Car kept running.
5 minutes later - up and down lane (0-50mph) error lights flashed and car died.
Would not even crank.
Let it sit 5 minutes, started right up, got me home then died again with the same symptons.
I flashed back to stock, then reloaded Doug's tune. (not tuned for headers, just CAI, gears, etc)
Same results after a bit.
Cold or hot really does not seem to matter.

Also getting a tad bit of a pining sound from the drivers side. Assuming I have a small air leak.

Any ideas as to why the car will not stay running?????????????????????????
Would a little air leak cause that?
I am starting to panic here.

Air leak could, but I'd take a deep breath.. and the dash bugging out points more to wires reconnected incorrectly.

You say theerror lights came on - did you check for stored error codes?

You said you flashed to stock and then back to Dougs tune. Did you run it with stock tune?

Did you perhaps damage ir leave the O2 sensors disconnected?

That would be my guess. Slight pinging sound is probably an exhaust leak where the header and down pipe meet or an egr pipe is not tighted down enough.

I had JBA Shorties installed and there was no need for a re-tune, according to Brent. I suspect something was not reattached when your installer put it back together. Good luck.

No error codes
I did get smart and hooked my SCT up to my notebook and logged the sensors. They were working fine.
Then the car completely died and would not start back.
No power no nothing.
...................................THE CABLE FROM THE BATTERY TO THE FUSE BOX WAS LOOSE.....................
Its fixed! Thanks
