Default Adding an Anti-theft system ?

Anyone know how hard it would be to have Ford add the anti-theft system to my 07 GT if it doesn't have it? Do you guys recommend Ford's solution, or recommend an alternative form of anti-theft system?

I wouldn't mind lojack or something like that, but i also want to deter people from trying to attempt to break-in to the car as well.

I went ahead and bought the Ford security system over the parts counter and did it myself. It wasn't as easy as I expected. I figured a factory alarm would be plug and play, it wasn't.....The dealer has to get in their system and print off the instruction manual because it doesn't come with one, and the locations they give you are not quite right, like "harness above gas pedal" is actually a bundle of wires all the way up below the windshield, yes they are over the pedal, but waaaaay over it. For what you get, I'd almost recommend going to a stereo shop and having one installed.

A good aftermarket alarm like the Clifford G5 will always be better and have more features than the factory one. I've got the G5 and have had no problems with it and it hasby far the best shock sensor and overall system quality than any alarms ive had in the past.

I got the remote start, keyless entry, alarm from Circuit City, Python. It works well and is pretty cool, with 1 mile range. You can also look at the lcd display keyfob to determine car status. It was damn pricey though.[>:]

Good Luck!
