I recently had tint installed on my 06GT.The place that installed the tint told me AFTER THE INSTALL[:@] that the new body style mustangs have a problem with tint.Evidently there is something inside the door panel that scratches the tint. After a couple weeks I have noticed scratches in perfectly straight lines that go from the bottom of the window to the top. This is of course only on the door windows and rolling the window down causes this to happen. Does anyone know any details on this? Thanks

 

you need moleskin.. do a search.. there was a post on this earlier today... i believe taco bill may have done a moleskin install thread as well

 

many threads on this, search, and, go to www.automoleskin.comthey have a kit for the mustang, and it will fix the problem. you need to get re-tinted tho.

Thanks to this forum, I knew about the issue before I bought my car and tinted the windows. If they knew about the problem and didn't offer you the moleskinBEFORE they did the install, I would be upset. I think some people here were able to have the tint replaced and the Moleskin installed at the shop's cost - I'm not surethough.
