Flowmaster 40's Next Week!!!
Flowmater 40's are going on next week and I can't wait...Before I got my GT, I thought I would be content with the stock set-up...Which I must say is very acceptable...However, I've only had it for about 5 weeks and all Iwant to dois make itlouder, faster, and sharper to look at.
I cannot wait to hear thatsound...The rest of the exhaust isstock, justaxel backsfor now...

i'll go ahead and tell you that it won't sound a whole lot different with just swapping the mufflers... i was shocked at how similar to stock mine sounded with the Flowmaster axleback. I then put on the O/R H-Pipe and it's LOUD. It's about 10x louder than stock, but sounds great.
Flowmaster 40's are good, but if you want it louder, go with the Flowmaster Super 44's. Unless you're looking for irresponsibly loud, Flows are the way to go!
That's a little dissapointing, considering I'm out $400.00...I thought for sure having 4" tails would kick it up a notch (Damn these 3 valve engines)...Can you atleast here 'em a little more while driving? Do they give the car a throatier sound at all?
I'm planning on installing a CAI soon...Shouldn't that help give it a little more growl?
I have to settle down a little bit, money wise...My CDC Classic Chin Spoiler should show up next week as well...and I'm having itpainted to match...SOOOO...I think my CAI & tuneare going to have to wait until a couple overtime shifts come my way...[sm=sigh.gif]

They do sound better, but it's amazing how fast you'll get used to them.
Yes, there are louder muffler's (that just doesn't sound right) out there, but the 40's are a nice step up.

I think that the Flowmasters are the Gold Standard for exhaust sound, and I think you will find that the combination of CAI, tune and Flowmasters will provide great sound and responsiveness -- Great Looking car BTW !

seniorsmith, you will definately hear a difference and you will love it. You will hear a great exhast note everywhere except cruising on the highway in 5th at 1350 rpm or less. but thats when you need the radio anyway
I get heads turned with faces smiling at idle at a light, all from that sweet, lopey sound only Flows give you.
Borlas are the closest second, but not close enough to compare.
