Stripe Color...
So I am going to drop the GT off at the body shop on Monday to have the crappy looking vinyl (pitted and dull everywhere) stripes taken off and painted on. Below is what it looks like now, satin silver with black stripes.....should I get black painted back on or do mineral grey......I kinda like the mineral grey idea but havent seen any pics of the combo...anybody have any?
I'm going to do them the same way, i.e. stopping at the edge of the hood vice going down the bumper.

Check this out. http://www.spectrummarcom.com/mustan...pePainter.html
If you want a bold look, stay with black. The mineral grey on silver would look good too; but just more subtle or soft.
At the above site, you can experiment with nearly any stripe color on your silver car. How long have you had the vinyl? I've had mine for about a year, and wondering how long before yours got pitted and worn.

RE: Stripe Color...
I bought the car used so not sure how long the vinyl had been on there. I don't want to go to the bumpers mainly becuase it would cost a good bit more due to having to add flex agent to the paint, plus almost everybody has stripes on the bumpers...this way is a little more unique.

Anyways, do them black, and don't go to the bottom of the bumper. The lines of stripes on bumpersjust don't line up very well when viewed from an angle. Its too much imo. Nothing against the cars with stripes all the way down, though! It doesnt matter in the end, it will be beautiful. Just my opinion.
