Default Drivers side mirror

Hi,

I have a question regarding the drivers side mirror on the mustang 07, there is a legend that all cars have onit, "Objects in Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear..." but this means closer to the mirror in order to display more objects, but the question i have is that on my car thins seems closer but to the car.

So if im parking my car and on the right side there is a wall from the mirror i can see the wall so close to the car making me to think that im going to hit the wall but if i turn my head and see the space between mustang and wall i have enough space to park my car, so is it normal in this kind of mirror that objects are closer to the car instead to the mirror or i have a defect mirror ?

Thanks

The "closer in the mirror" thing is only true of the passenger side mirror. On the passenger side, the mirror is convex to allow you to see your blind spot and other areas better, since you are further from that mirror.
Your driver's side mirror flat and therefore everything appears in the correct proportions in the driver's side mirror.

And that's why only the passenger side mirror carries the warning.

I think that answers your question....but I'm not sure [&:]

Sorry i messed up my explanation. I ment passenger side mirror.

Yes, I know it sounds stupid to ask this questions but who knows if the mirror is defect.

Nowpassenger side mirror makes things look closer to the car no to the mirror i.e. If yourenear a wall from the right side of the car and you look at the mirror it seems that the wall isso close to the car but if you turn and see it by yourself you have a lot of distancebetweenthe car and the wall.I asked my dad and he said the same thing is kinda wierd its not like normal passenger side mirrors.

Also driver mirror also has the legend.

I just wanted to know if some of you have some issue with the passenger mirror.

dude... for real?

your question was answered above... the mirror is made to do that to widen the field of view and reduce the likely hood of you doing a dumb *** thing and hitting a car you might not otherwise see....

They told you that multiple hits of acid would warp your brain. But would you listen? No......
I bet if the state you live in ever attaches a hologram your license, you'll never leave the house!
