Right Hand Drive S197 Down Under

Know someone with a 700hp skyline...Great fun but not very practical on the street its like. 1000rpm slow 2000rpm slow 3000rpm slow 4000rpm oh holy ****!
Great cars but they just have such a high reputation thats really not deserved. Yes they can handle but there not the greatest handling cars in the world. A Euro EVO is better. Power yes its also good but you can get as much out of anycar your willing to spend that kind of cash on. Great cars but in my opinion very over rated.

For corners you cannot go wrong with an EVO or GTR, but then again with a GTR, you don't have to spend $500 ever 15k miles for a tune up.
I did not mean to hi-jack the thread, but I do have a passion for my GTRs
No sense in worrying about prices guys! If you're not buying one what do you care how much it costs?
I think it's great, the Mustang being so rare, and hope to see pics of them at the glorious Aussie beaches!
As far as the conversion, it seemed odd how some things they did NOT convert. It looks like they left the parking brake over there on the other side and the hood release is over by the passenger's knees. Did they move the glove compartment too? Can't tell.
I wonder if the RHD has the dual power seats. And I guess they had to use different side view mirrors. Are their controls switched too?
i just hope they managed to solve that leaking problem or else the driver's feet will be getting damp!
BTW, here's a recent favorite I saw in Vegas. An Aussie 1975 Ford Falcon, with full power, disc brakes and no smog! Looks similar to the last of the classic Mustangs, but totally unique.

They were and still are extremely popular down under but are now getting quite rare. I bought the coupe for $1900 in 1988 and sold it not long after but the same coupe now would go for arround $25,000 amd i'm still kicking myself. Thats the model they used in the roadwarrior movies.
I'm Taking the mustang to an all ford day in august and will take some photos if you would like.

I was in Sydney for a week and met a girl who worked in that underground mall. She pulled up to my hotel to pick me up for a night at Kings cross in a Mustang, She asked If I would like to drive, I said no, wheels on the wrong side and you drive on the wrong side also, that would be a accident in very short time. We went and met this Aborigines family, This old guy had a Digery Do, and he played it. I asked him to play 'In-A-Goda-Daveda' They all just looked at me, I said "It'sa Joke"
Your New Mustang is nice.

How many times will you reach down to pull the hood release only to realize it's not there? Or are they all on the left side in Australia too?

what rack did they use?. The rest? Is gravy.
I was lucky enough to register my Scarlett in Cyprus (another RHD country) despite her being LHD and having the original red taillights.
I searched everywhere for taillights with amber corners but it seems they're like gold dust. I'm intrigued about how that RHD conversion was performed. It must have required a lot of fabrication as this would have been a bespoke conversion without RHD equivalent parts ever being manufactured by Ford.
Nadine looks great, and it's refreshing to see another Stang that hasn't been named either Sally or Eleanor.
