Default Trunk Grommets

I was just looking around in the trunk seeing how
easy it will be to do sequentials and had the rear
cover off. I was examining the wires where they
go thru the sheet metal to see which kit I needed.
Well let me tell you, both grommets were out of their
holes both right and left sides where they go to
the taillights. Fricken Ford. It never seems to amaze
me. The Stang is barely 6 months old and its one
quality control problem after another. Is it a fricken
party on the assembly line? QC watchin Jerry
Springer T&A instead of inspecting? They warn
about cars built on Friday but this is rediculous.
Might want to give them a look on your Stang.
Leaks would have to fill up the spare tire well
before showing up on the carpet. Mine had water
in the spare tire well and no place for it to go.[:@]

did they at least put the clear tape over the hole in the floor well of the trunk? If you don't have the Shaker 1000 sub they cover the hole with just a piece of clear tape!

UGH! When we installed the sequentials - my license plate light was unplugged - which, if I was pulled over, would have been a ticket here in NJ.... I feel your pain!!!

Did you order the sequentials? You'll love them...

Ordered the CDCsequentials from MossMustang. They have not
come in yet. I do have the plastic tape over the Shaker sub mounting
holes. Dont have access to web space for pics. Sorry.

That is actually a pretty thick clear flexible vinyl covering the front and back mounting holes. Expect it should be fine for keeping water from splashing through the holes.

How do you release the round retainers that also hold the back access cover to the tail light bulbs?

You screw and pull slightly outward on the top edge of
the cover at the same time.
Or just grab em and yank them off. The other retainers
have pins that need to be partially pulled out.
