My gt seems to resopnd faster when i floor it when i have 50 miles or less to the gallon.My cars an auto and i put in 91. It seems much faster its louder and pulls harder than usual. when my tank is full it seems slooww but till i have 50 miles or less its really faster the engine runs better to.Does this happen wit anyone else? when im going 40 and i step on it it responds quicker and pulls hard enough for me to notice.

that because you have so little fuel, same reason when people go to the track with a quarter tank because you weight alot less with less fuel. so you feel faster.

 

I guess you could fix the problem of the passenger by getting skinnier friends (I think most cars get the same thing)... you think that's bad, my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 Reg cab has a 26 gallon gas tank....

 

100 lbs = 10 hp

 

Full tank is 16 gals * 6 lbs / gal = 96 lbs; so, running at 1/4 tank saves 72 lbs. (note - all figures are approximate and subject to change or debate!)

 

Would 7hp feel that different? Now through in a 200 or 250lb person and sure I could see that being noticeable.
