What is the difference between the C&L racer intake and the C&L street intake?

 

the street intake is for mildly modded cars, the racer for wildly modded cars. I don't know your mods list but if you're asking this question I assume you're bone stock or close to it (no offense), so if that's the case do the street cai/tuner combo from someone like brenspeed.

 

the street has a allummin intake tube and the race has a plastic one. IMO the street one looks better and i really dont think there is too much of a diffrance between the too. i have the street btw

 

I like the street. That is what I have. I think it looks better.

This is the "technical" answer and most do think that the aluminum looks better.

 

I'm looking to get a supercharger in a few months and I don't want to buy an intake and tuner that I will just throw away. What intake would you guys recommend that I get that can be used with a S/C?

 

depends...some SC you can use some intakes and some SC you cant.....search the forum for the different combos that can and cant be used

 

the majority of s/c's include some variation of CAI so I would say none of them...as far as the tuner part goes, if you buy the s/c from someone who uses your brand of tuner, they'll give you an update tune for the blower. Don't feel bad, I think everyone on this site has a mod part or two laying around their house because their next mod nullified it (CAI replaces K&N, s/c req. removal of UDPs and CAI, etc.)

 

So I guess I'll just get a tuner. The tuner should give enough of an increase in horsepower to satisfy me for now. For those of you that are supercharged, what tuner are you using?
