Default 4.10's or 3.73's

I've been reading up on this subject all day and I can't decide what I want to get. I'm an automatic GT. Would the 4.10's be ok if I supercharged it? I don't want to buy the gears and then end up switching a little down the road. I also read somewhere that 3.73's on an auto are like 4.10's on a manual.

I went 3.73's as I was planning going with a supercharger. The speedshop that did my work stated if I was planning on going F/I that 3.73 would be plenty. The car is going to Brenspeed next week for the Paxton installation. Good luck!!!

I'm NA but the general consensus seems to be, if you have 4.10s + power adder you'll rev through your powerband too quickly to harness the power of the sc...most people on this forum are running 3:73s or taller with turbo/sc...

I got 3.73s and sometimes it feels as if I can't shift fast enough. With my S/C the rpms come real quick in first and second gears. I think 4.10s would be way too low if your gonna Supercharge.

Nobody will ever know the answer to this question, you could ask a thousand different people and they would all have different answers on why to get a different gear ratio.

Personally id say 3.73s, but all depends on what you will be doing

The "Rule of Thumb" with an automatic is:

3.73s if you supercharge and 4.10 if you don't...

Saleens run with 3.73's for a reason...(I don't know what that reason is - but they do)

If you can't make up your mind, try a 3.90
