Default Zero percent financing

Right now they have the 0% financing for 36 months, does anyone know when they extend this to 60 months, or 72 months? I know last year they did it around the end of August?? My interest rate is 7. something, I can actually trade my 07 in that I have had for 4 months and lower my payment.

It is 72 months in my area. Maybe your area just is not going as low this year?

From the way I heard it....its 3.9% for 60 months. 0% is only for 36 months.

60 or 72 months is such a long time to pay for a car though. Gee, that makes me shudder to think of it.
Only way that works is if you have the full price anyway, stick it in a savings account and take the monthly payments from it. Over the course of the aggreement you'll have made interest from it.
36 or preferably 24 months is enough for me, after all, after 24 months I'm usually sick of my car and want to change it anyway

I can actually trade my 07 in that I have had for 4 months and lower my payment.
Dude, that is one BIG HOLE you're looking todig yourself into

I got my 72 months in September last year. Catch em right after the new models come out. Cut a great deal; make em discount for the lost model year. Then sit back and realize you've made a great deal and can pay for it at no cost for the next 72 months. The interest savings will be in the area of $3,000. That's serious money!

I bought my Shelby 2 months too soon so far as financing goes, but then again I got a great deal on the price of my car at the time I bought it and one can never tell if / when these deals will ever come along. Never look back! Still, it would have been nice to have 0%.

+1

I can't see making payments for 5 or 6 years. What most people forget is :
1) they're probably not keeping the car that long so they've actually lost money on it since they usually break even or worse, owe more than what's it worth vs what the blue book is, so that "$3000" in interest you just saved yourself is simply going to offset your loses.
2) If you total the car or get into a serious accident you lose even more money.
3) A car will always depreciate....why do you think 0% has become so prevalent lately? Because most people will trade in their car in 2-3 years for a new one and guess what, a trade-in has WAY more profit in it since you never get back what you paid for it.

Well, I did 72 month financing at 0% because I have no plans on getting rid of my car... 90% chance Il be keeping it till the new body style comes out and then who knows perhaps I will still keep it and get a second one then.

In that case it's okay but most people don't keep their cars that long. I've had my 00 stang since 99 and I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. Since I paid it off a few years ago, I don't miss the car payment.
