Still getting misfires, PLEASE HELP!!!
I installed my Steeda UDPs on Saturday and ever since then I've been getting misfires. I really don't know what to do about it, I can't really think of any reason why the pullies would have caused it but it was fine before and after the installl I started having problems.
AFAICT the pulleys are in right and the car seems to run fine but every once in a while it starts throwing codes.
Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Could I have possibly damaged my MAF meter and if so could this be the cause? Should I take out some timing, would that help? I don't know but I'm going to the track on Thursday so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all.

take it to steeda, ford or someone who knows about UDPs. without anyone actually seeing your car, its going to be difficult to solve the problem.
EDIT: a retune is not needed for udps ^^^

it's unlikely that you damaged the MAF itself and
more likely that it could be a wire issue. check the
MAF connector and look closely at the wires and if they may
be loose or damaged in any way.....

All the wires seem connected, as for a tune, I was under the impression that the UDP's didn't require one. While I was doing the install I cleaned the filter on my CAI and it's possible that there was still some moisture in there when I put it back on, but everything would be dry as a bone by now.
The only place around here I could really take it would be to the dealer, and they probably won't even look at it until next week because this place is ghetto.

When i had my 2004 gti installed the steedaudp's but overtorqued the crankbolt because i didn't realize my torque wrench didn't work. Several days later i started getting random misfire codes. I called steeda's tech line and told them my problem. They asked if i followed the torque specs exactly and i told them i possibly overtorqued the crankbolt due to a faulty torque wrench. They said to remove and reinstall the crank pulley to the torque specs. Once i did this i never got any more random misfire codes. There is a very sensitive crank trigger sensor that can cause the misfires if the crank bolt isn't torqued exactly to specs. This could be your problem or not, just though i would throw that out there for you.
