Default Shop Manual for 07

One of the first items I bought for the 66 was a shop manual and it has paid for itself numerous times.

Is there a shop manual out there that is worth the purchase for our cars? I am not a mechanic but found my 289 is WORKABLE most of the time, is it even close when you're talking about the 05-07 cars? Can a manual benefit the average person or is it just all computers and electronics and I will have to just pay for ALL the maintenance?

Please let me know were or if to purchase one, thanks.

I think it comes in CD and runs about 170 but I have seen it on the ford site(cant remember where) in the owners section. I'll get them at some point there is alot of good info it would seem in them such as P/N's and torque specs which you will need when doing mods on your car.

I am not planning on many/any mods anytime soon, I was curious if they are helpful for regular maintenace issues that may creep up...

The 66 maunal has everything from diagrams to specs to maintenance. Its come in handy when working on the wire harness, replacing brakes, looking at the diagram cut outs of engine/trans etc..

Ebay has a Haynes manual for $22 vs the Ford shop manual for $130+, I am sure there is a HUGE difference.

Does anyone have the Haynes and is it informative enough for regular stuff?? Or look at dropping more $$$?
