Looking at getting the 07 tinted, I thought I saw somewhere on here that there is an issue with the tint getting scratched due to cheap window felt.

Can anybody confirm if this is correct or a problem with earlier models that was corrected??

Definately a well noted problem with tinting windows on these cars. Just get some moleskin installed and you'll be good though, I haven't had any issues with mine yet.

My 07 is tinted. No problems, yet. Of course it's only been about 3 months.....

 

Yes, definitely this is a "do it your self job" and its an easy one too. Moleskin before tint willl save you headaches later. Mine showed scratch signs withn 60 days from tinting.

 

My 07 took a few months for the problem to surface but eventually it did. The Moleskin took about 15 min. to put on. Very easy. Just follow TacoBill's write up.
